3. Interactive map

The map loads only after you click “Load Berlin map”. Map tiles are requested from tile.openstreetmap.org. The OpenStreetMap Foundation receives your IP address, browser data and requested map areas. Activation is based on your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Consent applies to this page only and is not stored permanently. “Disable map” stops further map requests; it does not undo earlier transmissions. Map servers operate worldwide.

4. Amazon and other external links

No Amazon content or advertising trackers are automatically embedded. Clicking an Amazon link takes you to Amazon with an affiliate identifier that may attribute qualifying purchases. Subsequent processing follows Amazon’s privacy information. Hotel websites, BVG and external directions links likewise connect only when you click them.

5. Contact, retention and analytics

If you contact us by email, we process your information to respond. The basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for contractual requests, otherwise Article 6(1)(f). Data is deleted when no longer needed, subject to statutory retention obligations. This guide sets no analytics or advertising cookies of its own. Filters exist only in page memory. Images are served locally and fonts use the device’s system fonts.

6. Your rights

Subject to the GDPR, you have rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests for reasons relating to your situation and withdraw consent at any time for the future. You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, including the North Rhine-Westphalia data protection authority.
